“Watts Urban Village” Redevelopment Underway
By Let's Talk Los Angeles on January 15, 2019
Watts Urban Village Town Homes, shops, a park, and garden all nestled on Century Blvd. starting from Alameda moving westward into the village ending at Grape st.
The redevelopment of Watts has been a long time coming in efforts to diversify this south LA neighborhood. A community that has been overrun with poverty, drugs, abandoned houses and cars. However racial injustices, police brutality, racism and discrimination remain the same. It will now be the mixing of cultures unless there is truly change especially with the influx of more affluent residents. Only time will tell as the process plays itself out. Let’s Talk Los Angeles is on it.
