LA’s New Bike Share Transit System
Los Angeles Metro unveils its new bike share transit system. L.A. is another city like London, Paris, Washington, D.C. and New York City to get on board with bike share.Metro’s plan calls for stations in the Civic Center, the Music Center, and at multiple locations in the Financial District, the Historic Core, Little Tokyo and the Arts District. Kiosks would also be installed along the Figueroa Corridor and around the University of Southern California. An emphasis will be placed on creating kiosks at Metro rail stations in Downtown, according to the agency. This big bike share step says pricing for the bikes hasn’t been set yet, but there will be an app that will help users access real-time information about where and when bikes and docks are available.
