L.A. schools and Parks New Summer Lunch Program
By Let's Talk Los Angeles on June 7, 2014
Free lunch program this summer at L.A. schools and parks. On Thursday the district said it will serve free lunches this summer to children and the disabled at 317 school campuses along with 105 parks and recreation centers. The district and the city of Los Angeles are partners in the program, which is called “Food That’s In, When School Is Out.” It starts next Monday and runs through Aug. 8. Anyone under age 18 or who’s disabled can receive a meal. Check with your local LAUSD school and or near by parks for participating locations.
