Cal State Long Beach skateboarding competition
By Let's Talk Los Angeles on December 5, 2014
And so the call is out: Local skaters of all ages are invited to compete in Saturday’s Skate LBCity event, which begins at 10 a.m. at McBride Skate Plaza, a 10,000 sq. ft. skate park in the Poly High neighborhood. The all-ages competition is free and open to the public, although skaters who wish to participate must make a $10 donation when they register.
Between 50 and 70 skaters are expected to compete and more than 100 people are expected to attend the event, in which there will be prizes, giveaways, music, drinks and food.
Medals will also be awarded to the top three skaters in each division: ages 15 and under, ages 16 and older and expert.
