By Let's Talk Los Angeles on February 23, 2018
About 9 a.m. Thursday, an estimated 11,200 gallons of sewage spilled from a line controlled by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works at USC Medical Center, according to the City of Los Angeles. About 8,300 gallons of the spillage entered the storm drain and flowed into the Los Angeles River. Water testing will continue until results are in compliance with state water quality standards. For the latest status on recreational beach water quality, call the LA county Water Hotline at 211.
