The Bill Pickett Rodeo 2026 returns to the Los Angeles area for two days of rodeo competition, Western heritage, family entertainment, and a celebration of the legacy of Black cowboys and cowgirls.

Founded in 1984, the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo is celebrating its 42nd season in 2026. The tour honors the legacy of legendary cowboy Bill Pickett, who revolutionized steer wrestling (“bulldogging”), while highlighting today’s top Black rodeo athletes from across the United States.
