Star Wars premiere kicks off in Los Angeles
By Let's Talk Los Angeles on December 15, 2015
A giant tent covered the red carpet lined with true Stormtrooper, mannequins and neon lights that resembled giant lightsabers as workers put the finishing touches on the set-up hours before the film’s first showings to a select group of Hollywood elite.
Many of Hollywood’s top stars joined hundreds of costumed fans at what was to be the largest Hollywood premiere ever. One of the participating theatres was the iconic -TCL Chinese (formally known as the Mann Chinese Theater) that also hosted the premiere of the original Star Wars in 1977.
Los Angeles Police say extra vehicle patrols and more officers on foot were assigned to the area for safety.
