Virtual Touch Screen SmartPhone

By on November 22, 2015

A Paris-based team of designers have created a remarkable device they call the Cicret Bracelet which allows you to use your wrist just like you would the touchscreen on your phone.

You may perform all the usual functions you’re used to on your iPhone 6, Galaxy series, or other smartphone, only instead of a glass screen you’ll be swiping and poking at images on your wrist.

No apps or functions are missing, which probably leaves you wondering, why wouldn’t one just use your actual phone? After all, aside from the novelty factor, what would be the benefit over a normal, traditional smartphone?

Cicret’s designers see it’s future application in non-traditional environments, such as underwater. One could also make a call, return an email, or play a game all while their phone was sitting untouched across the room.

Cicret’s designers hope to bring the project to consumers in the 4th quarter of 2015 or 1st quarter of 2016. But to make this possible, they need your help. If you’re interested in contributing to the team’s crowdfunding campaign, you may do so by visiting the project pager
