The Great Los Angeles Walk
There’s no special reason, no charity, no protest, no issue the walk is promoting nothing other than a passion for Los Angeles. What could be more fun than some cardio (walking), meeting new interesting people and plenty of photo ops and social media moments.
The walk began down Wilshire to mark the 10th anniversary of a now local living in Los Angeles. It was so much fun, and a chance to meet so many new people, it was planned again in 2007, traveling down Pico; in 2008, via Sunset and Santa Monica Blvd.; and in 2009, West Adams down to Adams and Washington to Venice Beach. In 2010, the walk returned to Wilshire for the fifth walk; in 2011, it was Hollywood; and in 2012, Melrose’s turn. In 2013, it was Sunset Boulevard; in 2014, the Walk took to the Valley and Ventura Boulevard; in 2015, down Olympic; in 2016, Pico Boulevard; and in 2017, the walk tackled Beverly Boulevard (plus Santa Monica Blvd. again, to complete the journey to the ocean). The 2018 edition with explore Koreatown and more via 6th street.
It’s the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
