Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:

2 Cups large elbow macaroni

3 Cups chicken broth

3 TBS butter

1-12 oz can evaporated milk

1 cup half and half

½ tsp onion powder

½ mustard powder

½  tsp salt

½  tsp white pepper

3 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese use 1 cup for topping

1 cup shredded Muenster cheese or Slices

1 Cup White Cheddar cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F
  2. Pour broth in a large pot and bring to a boil
  3. Stir in the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions or until al dente.
  4. Drain macaroni. Do NOT rinse.
  5. Pour macaroni back into the pot and turn heat off
  6. Stir in the butter until it melts
  7. Pour in the evaporated milk and half and half.
  8. Turn heat back on to medium.
  9. Stir in 2 cups of the Colby Jack and 1 cup of White Cheddar cheeses
  10. Stir until melted
  11. Add in and stir the salt, onion powder, and white pepper
  12. Once cheese melts, turn off the heat.
  13. Butter a baking dish.
  14. Pour the macaroni into the dish in a single layer.
  15. Add the remaining cheese on top.
  16. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the cheese is as melted or as brown on top as you’d like.
