By on November 11, 2014

In long beach Creamistry  the liquid nitrogen ice cream shop  is celebrating the open of its Belmont Shore location. Ice cream typically is made in a batch freezer, where it takes from 30 to 45 minutes for the mixture to freeze. But liquid nitrogen  a frigid minus-321 degrees is so cold that when it’s mixed with the other ingredients, it flash freezes the ice cream, giving it smaller ice crystals and a creamier texture.

Creamistry has 10 signature flavors, including vanilla bean with candied bacon, cookie butter, salted caramel, chocolate hazelnut and an array of Asian-inspired flavors such as Thai iced tea, red bean and green tea. A variety of more than 50 toppings can be added to any flavor.

The shop, 4725 E. Second St. Belmont Shore- Long Beach, California is open from noon to 11 p.m.
